Rye Pletts grew up on a farm in Zululand in a non-hunting family, but hunting was in his blood and growing up looked for any opportunity to hunt.

This gave him great experience for when he turned to hunting as a full time career. The bush was always a stronger call; hunting and guns of every sort have always been a passion of his. He received his unrestricted Professional Hunters license in 2009 and has been hunting in Mozambique ever since.
