These areas are of the few remaining in Africa  where you can still do a Classical African Safari today. They are part of the Marromeu Complex and boarder the Mighty Zambeze River in the North.

Coutada 11 and 12 are situated in the central part of Coastal Mozambique. The spectrum of wildlife is quite remarkable, having 22 huntable game species from the tiny Livingstone Suni to the Elephant.

Buffalo roam the open flood plains and swamps in herds of several hundred. Sable in huge herds often nearing 100. We have 4 main camps within the concessions. Coutada 11 had 2 permanent camps, the first being our original camp, Mungari, this is a typical East African styled tented camp with Bathrooms en-suite. There are 4 tents accomadating 2 clients in each. The camp is set in the lush tropical sand forests which hold an abundance of bird life. The second camp is Ngazi camp, this camp was used by the Portuguese hunters in the late 60's.

Due to the war this camp was neglected and only in 2007 did we revamp it. The camp is built out of brick and motar and has 4 rooms with bathrooms en-suite.

Coutada 12 also has 2 permanent camps - the main camp is called Chironde, it is a brick and tile camp with chalets comprising of 2 beds with en-suite bathrooms, fringed by mature Massa forests.

The second camp, Nhago, is situated in the South of the concession, and comprises of 2 chalets - both with en-suite bathrooms.

We have had the lease on Coutada 11 since 1992 and Coutada 12 since 2008 - over the years with sound Game Management practices and Anti-Poaching programs in place, have managed to help increase the numbers of game in the area for future generations.
